Anantha and his wife have actively sought out professional special education advocacy services due to repeated refusal of services, over their son's lifetime, due to the under estimation of his abilities. Their son has experienced significant medical issues and has complex special education needs. At 5 years old the speech and language therapist said their son would never communicate and refused to authorize assistive technology. Anantha went out and got a 4 square communication devise and used it at home. In 2 weeks his son was communicating his needs and wants. He and his wife have never given up despite the barriers put in front of them by the educational system and poorly prepared related service providers. .
