Heather March-Engle, MBA, BCEA-F

Heather serves on the Advisory Board of NSEAI.


Heather March-Engle lives with her husband and three beautiful children in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and has worked for over twenty-five years in a variety of administrative support and management positions. Her current administrative position at a local ceiling and wall solutions company allows her to pursue her passion for continuous process improvement and digitalization.

Her interest in the field of special education began in 2010 after her first child received an autism diagnosis at the age of eighteen months. Her two other children were also subsequently diagnosed. Now almost a decade later, her knowledge of the special education process is a rare combination of personal experience as a parent advocating for the special needs of her own children and formal training that included achieving a national board certification in educational advocacy (BCEA).

  • Her educational advocacy efforts include advocating for the unique needs of children and guide families through the special education process.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of state and federal laws that pertain to children with special needs through continuing education each year.
  • Promoting quality education and meaningful inclusion for children with special needs.
  • Assisting families with writing correspondence and coordinating with multiple agencies.
  • Providing support during school meetings and help to diffuse tense emotions. and
  • Sharing knowledge of the special education process with families and empower them to increase their own educational advocacy skills.

She also volunteers her time to community organizations and gives generously to local charities.
